Community Service Initiative GROUP 2 (Furniture's Group) - WEEK 1 : SITE VISIT (30 August 2017)

     During the first week of the class,our lecturer, Miss Norji had assigned us to visit PPOC Archery Range which was located at Old Klang Road. We will have to finish our CSI module here by redesigning the classroom for the disabled students there to provide them a new interesting learning environment. 

      Before we start doing our tasks, we were asked to divide into a few groups doing different tasks such as wall painting group,furniture group,learning kit group,wall fixing group and last but not least the video production group. I had chosen Group 2 and became a member of furniture's group.There were 10 member's in my group including me.
    
     Our lecturer had brought us to visit the  center and also the classroom that we need to redesign. We were asked to discuss what to do for the furniture's in the classroom.

       Before we leave PPOC,Miss Norji had assigned us to come up with the proposals in the coming weeks.

     Week 6 is the last day for us to finish all of our works and we had left no much work to do. Kenny, Chris, and Oscar had fixed up the new shelves that Sean,s bought again in Ikea. While, me and Carmen were asked to clean the windows of the classroom.          After finish all the works, we were asked to move all the furniture into the classroom and arranged it in order. Community Service Initiative GROUP 2 (Furniture's Group) - WEEK 4 : First day of on-site working (20 Sep 2017)

    During week 2,there were no class conducted, but we were still having task to prepare our proposal for the classroom that we were asked to redesign it.     While during week 3, we were asked to proposed our proposal in the presentation form to our lectuer.     We started our first on site working on week 4, Firstly, me, Bing, Oscar and Chris had went to the hardware shop to buy the lacquer, thinner,  sand paper and also the varnish. We will have to mill the table with the sand paper first. After that,we will have to lacquer a few layer on the table as the base coat.After we finish the lacquer, we will have to coat a layer of varnish. I had chosen the varnish with Meranti colour that came with darker colour. So that the desk wont became dirty easily and the colour can be last more longer.
